Savage Mane Beard Co produces a wide range of beard products and accessories. I’ve been using their Savannah Beard Balm for the past few weeks and would like to share some thoughts about it.
First, let’s talk about ingredients. Savage Mane likes to keep it simple (which is the way I prefer it). Their ingredients include Bees wax, Argan, Jojoba, and Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Vitamin E Oil, and Essential Oils. Everything is all natural and there are no synthetic ingredients or fragrances, which is a big win in my book. The Savannah variety of the balm has a woodsy scent based on cedarwood and tea trea, and I really like it.
Next, lets talk about consistency. To get the Savage Mane Beard Balm out of the tin, you will need to scrape it out with the back of your fingernail. It melts quickly in your hand which makes for easy application. Simply run your hands through your beard, and finish it off with a beard comb to spread out the balm evenly through your beard. I’ve found that it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your beard looking like a greasy mess.
Overall I think the Savage Mane beard balm does a great job at bringing hydration back in to your beard while also smelling great. I would say it gives a medium hold as far as balm goes. It isn’t near as soft as some others (such as Honest Amish) but it definitely isn’t as firm as a beard wax. I enjoy the scent and it’s not overpowering.
